Expanding electricity production in Lebanon

Ecodyne is proud to have supplied low-noise radiators to BWSC for this project, which according to Gebran Bassil, Lebanon's Minster for Energy and Water, are an important first step in the efforts to reform the Lebanon's energy sector, efforts which are aimed at markedly improving the entire country's power supply.

The main projects are contracted to a consortium of BWSC and MAN Diesel & Turbo, with BWSC as consortium leader responsible for all technical and commercial aspects of the project, providing a single source of contact for the client. According to MAN the new power plants will be state-of-the-art within Diesel Combined Cycle (DCC) technology.

Each plant will integrate 4 and respectively 10 x MAN Diesel 18V48/60 medium speed HFO diesel engines to drive the main generators. Both plants will also include efficient steam turbine generators. According to MAN, the prime movers, associated equipment, and overall conceptual layout have been configured to provide an extremely high overall electrical efficiency of more than 48%.

The radiators utilize low-noise fans in order to meet stringent site requirements.
