Reduced emissions at Phu My Power Plant with GT13E2 MXL2 upgrade package
Ecodyne Heat Exchangers has deliver air cooled heat exchangers to General Electric (GE) for the first GT13E2 MXL2 upgrade in Asia, which is also the first service order announced after GE Acquired Alstom's Power and Grid Business.
According to GE the upgrades are expected to deliver a combined-cycle efficiency increase of 1 percent, which will generate fuel savings of almost 2 percent and reduce CO2 emissions.
Alexander Luft, Head of Sales and Marketing, stated: "The ECO-TAC coolers supplied have replaced equipment from another supplier that were not able to provide the high cooling performance required by the GT13E2 MXL2 upgrade. The compact ECO-TAC coolers fit perfectly on the existing steel structure, minimizing investment costs and plant downtime for the upgrade."
